Individual Requirements
- Age: Are you between 21 and 30 years old?
- Commitment: Are you ready and able to attend all appointments on time?
- Self-care: Are you comfortable with self-administering injections or having someone to assist you?
- Donation limit: Have you completed no more than five egg donations in adherence to the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) guidelines?
Education Requirements
- Educational background: Are you either currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor’s degree?
- Academic achievement: Do you have a minimum GPA of 2.5?
Medical Requirements
- Health status: Are you in overall good health without any sexually transmitted diseases?
- Anatomical necessity: Do you possess both ovaries and maintain regular menstrual cycles?
- Mental wellness: Are you free of any psychiatric illnesses, use of antidepressant medications and treatment for depression.
- Physical well-being: Do you have a Body Mass Index (BMI) below 28?
- Lifestyle choices: Are you a non-tobacco and non-drug user who is not alcohol-dependent?
- Contraceptive use: Have you used Depo-Provera shot or Implanon/Nexplanon implant within the last 6 months?
- Genetic screening: Are you a carrier of genes or mutations for specific diseases (e.g., Tay-Sachs, Sickle Cell Anemia, Cystic Fibrosis)?
- Recent procedures: Do you have any new tattoos, piercings, or blood transfusions in the past year?
- COVID-19: Are you vaccinated?
Family Health History
- Genetic considerations: Are you free of any family history of inheritable genetic diseases?
- Mental health background: Are you free of any family history of mental illness?
- Medical history accessibility: Are you able to provide a current medical history of immediate and extended family members (parents, siblings, grandparents)?
