How Family Inceptions Can Help You Find the Right Surrogate

Are You Ready To Find Your Surrogate?

This is such an exciting time for you as a hopeful parent, but it’s understandably daunting. How do you find the right person? What factors do you need to consider in your search? Where do you even begin?

Let’s be real – the weight of this decision can feel like a lot. After all, your surrogate will be carrying your child. You need to have full trust in her in a way that is truly unique.

One way you can be certain you’re finding the right gestational carrier is by working with a reputable, caring agency like Family Inceptions. We take a thorough and compassionate approach to matching intended parents with their ideal surrogate.

Trust us, we do not take this responsibility lightly! Since 2008, we’ve been perfecting our matching process so parents like you can start the family you’ve always wanted. We’re uniquely qualified to walk alongside you as you embark on your surrogacy journey, and we’re ready to help!

A Unique Understanding of Surrogacy

Surrogacy is an experience like nothing else — that’s why it helps to work with people who have been there.

Our founder, Eloise Drane, understands surrogacy more than most. A three-time surrogate herself, she knows the joy of serving intended parents and helping others build their family legacies. That feeling is what drove her to open this agency in 2008, and it’s what keeps her motivated to serve more and more families.

Because of her personal experience, she knows how important the matching process is, and she sees the value in staffing her agency with like-minded professionals — other women who have walked the surrogacy journey.

Many of us here at Family Inceptions have been gestational carriers ourselves. We’re intimately aware of all that surrogacy involves, and we bring that awareness and empathy into every interaction we have.

While we’re sure that other agencies have compassionate and caring staff, no training in the world can compare to the real-life experience of surrogacy. Our staff has been there, and our intended parents are consistently thankful for the insight we provide.

A Family-First Approach – For All Types of Families

Above all else, we believe family is the most important bond in life. Family shapes who we are and how we interact with the world.

But we know that modern families look a lot different today than they did even a couple of decades ago. “Traditional” family units don’t have to be the norm anymore. With advances in medicine and technology, babies can be born through IVF, egg donation, surrogacy, and other methods. Parenthood is more accessible to more people than ever before. It’s truly an exciting time!

At Family Inceptions, we believe that everyone who desires to be a parent deserves to become one. Single men. Single women. Same-sex couples. Individuals of all religions, ethnicities, world views, and lifestyles.

Family is family, no matter what it looks like. It breaks our hearts to hear of intended parents being turned away from other agencies because they don’t fit a preconceived mold. You won’t hear that from us! Our agency is built on a foundation of inclusivity and diversity.

Your family is welcome and honored here.

Owning Your Journey

If you could design your own path to parenthood through surrogacy, what would it look like? A close, friendly relationship with your surrogate? Updates and holiday cards exchanged after the baby is born?

Or do you prefer a less intimate connection, without much (or any) contact after the birth?

Do you have specific preferences about the surrogate’s religious faith, lifestyle, or core values?

These are questions we want you to think about because your answers help define your journey. That’s what this is – your journey – and we want to honor that.

We’re here to help you make it happen. That’s why our matching process is so meticulous — we pair you with a surrogate who shares your values, who respects your boundaries and expectations, and who you trust to carry your baby.

In-House Legal Support

Let’s face it: gestational surrogacy in the United States is a legally complex, and often frustrating, process. Laws vary state by state, and sometimes county by county. This is definitely not the time to DIY your legal paperwork or call in a favor from your college buddy: you need a lawyer with experience in assisted reproductive technology (ART) law.

At Family Inceptions, we have in-house legal support coordinated by an attorney specializing in ART law. Our legal team makes sure you have all the contracts in place for a successful and happy partnership with your surrogate. You’ll rest easier knowing the legal details are being handled by professionals.

Extensive Screening Process

Potential surrogates often tell us that our screening process can feel like a monumental task. We love to hear this – it means we’re doing our job!

It’s our intention to make sure every woman who applies to be a surrogate is honest, transparent, and well qualified to carry a child for you. We screen each applicant extensively, examining her motivations, family situation, health history, finances, and more. She undergoes a comprehensive medical and psychological exam; we conduct a home visit to get to know her and her family better.

Above all, we look at what drives her to choose surrogacy. When a woman leads with compassion and love, we know we’re starting from a good place.

It takes an extremely special person to be a surrogate, and our years of experience, both as surrogates ourselves and as experts in the field, help us make perfect matches.
